The Weymouth CCTV system The bid is part of a comprehensive programme of crime reduction measures in the town centre, along the seafront and in the car parks. A central control room is to be created to provide 24 hour monitoring. The proposal is for 22 permanently located CCTV cameras and the provision of a fibre optic network system. The major problems in the area include vehicle crime and crime associated with drug and alcohol abuse. £453,015 awarded (£15,525 from other sources). |
