London - near Oxford Street and Charing Cross Road - N.B. the Infra Red spotlamp to see in the dark- not needed by the latest cameras |
There are 16 of these high tech cameras mountings along Oxford Street, controlled from Marylebone police station. The system is meant to have cost over £500,000 to install. N.B. the total absence of any warning signs. The mountings bear a similarity to the fictional Martian spaceships in the "War of the Worlds" film and TV series. Another example of Professor Steve Mann's "through a dark glass" |
